David joined the Vilas County Sheriff's Department when he moved
here and remained in the department for many years. He is the
father of David and
Steven Kasprzyk.

Paul Keene
Residency: Early-1950's
Paul Keene was from Chicago where he was an ink salesman with
accounts that included the Chicago Tribune. He built a large
home on Big St. Germain Lake in the 1950's. He also developed
the Timber Gate subdivision after the airport plan fell
through. His refusal to compromise on a price for the land the
state wanted to change the Junction of Hwy 155/70 is the reason
it is the way it is today. He moved to Florida in the late
1980's.

Joe is a son of Kent and
Terri Knitt and a brother to
Shawn. he is involved with the
operations of the family hardware store in St. Germain.

Kent is married to Terri Knitt, the
father of Joseph,
Shawn, and
Jenny, and the son of William
and Shirley Knitt. He took over
management of Knitt's Hardware Hank in 1996. He was chief of
the St. Germain Fire and Rescue Department from 1988 - 2004.

Shawn is a son of Kent and
Terri Knitt and a brother to

Jenny. He is an avid hunter and currently lives in the
Milwaukee area.

Shirley was married to William Knitt
and the mother of Kent Knitt. She
helped manage and operate Knitt's Hardware Hank. She is now
partially retired and alternates between St. Germain in the
summer and Florida in the winter.

Terri is married to
Kent Knitt and helps with the the management and
operation of Knitt's Hardware Hank.
She recently underwent a kidney transplant of which her son,
Shawn, was the donor.

William Knitt

Bill was married to
Shirley Knitt and the father of
Kent Knitt. He purchased Hansen's
Hardware when he moved here in 1973. The store was then located
about in the center of the mall. The name was changed to
Knitt's Hardware Hank, but is more
commonly known as Knitt's Hardware.

Jack Koch
Residency: 1982
Jack purchased the St. Germain
Sport Marine (Welch's Sport Shop)
from Jack Mohn. It was then known
as Jack's Sport and Marine and he left the name the same. He
operated it for twelve years and sold it to Tom Christensen. He
lived in Florida for several years after that, then returned
here and purchased Eliason's Someplace Else
building renaming the supper club Hodge Podge Lodge.

Jeremy is a son of Jack and
Patti Koch and a brother to Thomas
Koch. He attended St. John's Military Academy through high
school and returned to wrok in Eagle river, WI. for awhile. His
current whereabouts are unknown.

Frank was a well-known resident of
St. Germain for many years. His death was sudden and of unknown
cause. He passed away only three days from his 39th birthday.
There is a Frank W. Kras memorial bench for him on the St.
Germain Golf Course.

Carol is married to Mike Kubiaczyk
and the mother of Ronald and
Ray. she taught in the
Red Brick School for several years.

Mike is married to
Carol Kubiaczyk and is the father of
Ray and Ronald. He was
principal and teacher in Northland Pines Middle School in Eagle
River until he retired.

Ray. He has been employed at Camp's
Super Valu (First
Grocery) for many years. He suffered a serious heart
attack in January 2008, but recovered and has worked ever since.
