John Radcliff
Residency: 1893 in Eagle River
John Radcliff has a Memorial Page
John
Radcliff never lived in the St. Germain area, but he rates being
included here. He was the only Vilas County sheriff killed in
the line of duty. In the years that followed, no judge, no
sheriff, no member of law enforcement, or person involved with
the courthouse has given this man the slightest
acknowledgement. When the courthouse was redone a few years ago
there was not even a thought of including a memorial for this
man who gave his life in the line of duty.
